Integrated reporting aims to
connect the individual reporting elements of governance, finance and overall
strategy with an entity’s environmental and social objectives to produce a more
holistic report on the entity’s current and future performance. It
has been recognised that the value of reporting on purely financial
achievements is now limited and entities need to incorporate and demonstrate
their performance on sustainability measures, including the environmental and
social impacts of their policies and decisions.
