Sadly we are saying goodbye to two stalwart members of the England and Wales Area Committee, Raymond Pennie and Stewart Beith. Both have made significant contributions over the last six years and we thank them for all of their time and effort.
However, we are delighted to welcome the following as new members and look forward to new approaches over the coming year:
Christopher Watson
Chris is currently Group Accountant at Savills PLC, he joined in 2010 and forms part of the group reporting team. Chris graduated from Herriot-Watt University in 2002 with a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics; he then joined Ernst & Young LLP in Edinburgh in 2003 where he trained as a CA qualifying in 2006. In 2006 Chris joined Reckitt Benckiser as an internal auditor performing reviews throughout Europe and North America before moving into the corporate reporting team as group consolidation manager.
Outside
of work, as well as spending time with the family, Chris likes to play golf and
football, enjoys sailing and this year has taken up surfing.
Richard Clohessy
Richard started his CA training in the assurance practice at PwC, Uxbridge in 2001 having graduated from Bristol University with a BSci Honours in Biochemisty. Following qualification in 2005 he moved to the tax valuation team at PwC specialising in the valuation of businesses, debt instruments, equity securities, share options and intangible assets primarily for tax and dispute purposes.
In mid 2011 Richard joined Duff and Phelps’ valuation advisory team responsible for valuations of unlisted instruments for tax, dispute, financial reporting and portfolio advisory purposes.
Outside of work Richard spends time with his two year old twins as well as following his interests in rugby, windsurfing and travel.
