Find out more about how the Information Service can help ICAS members and non-members.
Library catalogue and book borrowing
Search our catalogue to find out which books we have available to borrow. Members can borrow up to six books at a time which can be posted out free of charge.
Book of the month
A recommended book each month which could be on accountancy, tax, management skills or general business issues.
Historical collections
Find out more about the historical books and records that ICAS has at the National Library of Scotland and National Archives of Scotland, as well as the material which may be useful for family history requests.
Member-only content
e-book collection
Members now have access to over 100 e-books from the members' area of the ICAS website, all of which can be read on-screen and many can also be downloaded to read offline on computers, laptops, iPads and selected mobile and e-reader devices. An A-Z list of the e-books is also available.
e-journals on EBSCO Business Source Corporate
Members have access to over 3,000 e-journals, including around 200 specifically on accountancy and tax, as well as general management and sector-specific journals.
CA Knowledge
Bringing members the month’s sharpest news and analysis of the main stories and trends from leading journals.
Databases
Find out more about the databases that the Information Service can use to provide members with a range of different material ranging from newspaper articles to tax cases to company information to useful background information for taking on clients in a new sector.
Company reports
These include concise information on company history, products and services, key employees, competitors and revenue for firms in the FTSE 100 and S&P 500 companies.
Sector reports
These highlight key information and look at market overview and value, leading companies, market forecasts, and market segmentation in especially selected sectors.
Current issues
This section contains links to articles, books and other online sources on a range of topical subjects.
e-journal quick links
Links are provided directly to selected e-journals including UK and international accountancy e-journals; UK and International Tax e-journals; and UK and International Business and Management e-journals.
CPD new books
A monthly list of new books which have become available in the Information Service and may be relevant for CPD purposes as well as for general professional and personal development.
