    Description of Organisation
What makes Grant Thornton stand out as an accountancy firm? They are big enough to take on any challenge, but small enough to take a genuine and personal interest in their clients and people. They are agile enough to respond quickly, excited by business and all its possibilities. They are enthusiastic, down to earth and approachable.

Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading names in accounting and consulting with a presence in over 100 countries. In the UK, they have more than 4,000 people and over 40,000 clients. They take on graduates, placements and interns in audit, tax and advisory in over 20 of their offices around the country. The 200 trainees they take on each year get variety and responsibility. They work on a huge range of clients in many different sectors. And most of the clients are international businesses, so there are plenty of opportunities to work on global accounts and for secondments abroad.

What is Grant Thornton looking for? People with a genuine interest in business who listen critically, dig beneath the surface, challenge assumptions and are credible and confident enough to make suggestions right from the start. They know it’s about more than just the numbers, it’s about enjoying tough challenges and seeking out opportunities to make a difference.
