Australia is home to the largest group of CAs outside the UK. We have around 500 members living and working across the country with the main groups in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. ICAS Chief Executive Anton Colella and President Iain McLaren visited members in Australia earlier this year. We plan to “build a professional community” in Australia in 2012. We are currently talking to members there about becoming ICAS Ambassadors as we arrange high profile events across the country for next year. We will also create an Australia community section on this website to act as a digital home for our members Down Under.

Chairman Russell Leslie was born in Dunfermline and moved to Sydney in 1981 with Coopers and Lybrand. He spent 14 years with Macquarie Bank Group as Executive Director. He is currently on the Boards of several family businesses in the wine and recruitment industries. Russell founded the Murrayfield Club in 1989. He is a member of ICAS, ICAA and a Fellow of FINSIA.
